Stayed here to attend the Bike Show at the NEC. Beautiful room, very comfortable with lovely linens on the bed and soft towels. I like the use of the complimentary soaps and lotions being pumps on the wall .... Good quality too!!! Our room had good facilities for less able people .... A seat in the wet room and pull cords in the main bedroom. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious
I visited this hotel on business during a working week. The location is very convenient to local connections and major motorways. The car park is vast, and one should not worry about getting a space. It was also free for me, and you can validate at the reception. Check-in was smooth and quick, and the staff was polite and welcoming. My room was of good standards and had all the amenities I needed. Minibar, coffee making, ironing boards, good-sized TV, a desk. The bathroom had a good size bath and a good design and spacious too. The water pressure was great, and the toiletries were of a good standard. The room was quiet and overlooking the lake. We had a drink at the bar, which was also well stocked with a great selection of beers on tap. The glassware and their drinks presentation were fantastic. The service was quick and the staff was very polite. The lounge area is an asset to this place, spacious modern and great for business and networking. The breakfast restaurant was on a lower level and was of a decent standard but nothing special. The dining room was dated, and the choice of food was simple but sufficient, no wow factor there. I recommend this place for a business trip.
Awful bed, like sleeping in a noisy bouncy castle. Loud noise from air con at 00h30. Booked taxi when I arrived for 5h45am. No taxi. Had to call a taxi myself and almost missed my flight. Never again
Attended a conference at the hotel. The hotel is ideal for events with plenty of parking space and easy to get by public transport. If you are coming to an event check with the hotel if the parking is free. I was given a QR code to scan so didn’t have to pay.
The room is nice although not sure why they have given twin beds instead of a double for a single person, also turn the heating off at night or at least give me the ability to. Breakfast was ok, hoping I don't get food poisoning from the black pudding which someone has obviously shown the oven to them and put it on a plate, cold, straight out of fridge and uncooked. You would hope their chef, sorry cook, would be able to at least cook a basic breakfast right!
