This is a great place to stay if you're traveling. It's virtually next door to the airport, takes just a few mins in the car. The bed was comfortable, the room basic but it did the job at a reasonable price. We had a window in our room which faced out into the food/services area so that was a tad disappointing given that it didn't look out into the outside world and allow for some fresh air. Other than this, it was ideal for what we needed (to lay our heads the night before a very early flight)

We booked two rooms, both were dirty, dirty radiators, dirty skirting boards, carpets not particularly clean, windows not clean. Blood stain on one of the walls. The corridor carpets are very poor, floors creak. One of our rooms was opposite the Plant Room which was noisy all night. The room stank very badly of what smelled like kippers, even the room spray didn't mask it, never been closer to packing up and leaving. The bathroom floor was at a very odd angle. Staff were as helpful as they can be. I don't expect much for the Travelodge price, but I do expect it to be clean as a bare minimum.

This hotels needs a refurbishment. The hotel looks tired. We were given a key which had a tatty room number tag on it. The carpets in the corridor were worn out and dirty. The carpet in the room was also worn out so I didn’t feel comfortable walking around bare foot. The bed needs changing. I felt the springs every time I got onto the bed. Other than that the shower had good pressure and was hot. I know this hotel was a quick stopover and the price we paid was reasonable however I was still disappointed. I have stayed in better Travelodge’s so I know things can be better.

38 quid. What do you expect. Handy location near the m1 and Airport. Easy check in, free parking. Room Is as you'd expect. Bed, desk, telly, bathroom. All fine but everything creaks, as you move in your room when people walk past. If you like to feel alone, this isn't for you. Handy facilities mind and the view. England's green and pleasant land.

2 stars even though I am fully aware this was a budget stay. Following the other recent reviews, our stay was also marred by dirt. The hallway carpet was ruined beyond belief, stains and rips everywhere. The room itself wasn’t overly bad but still bad, it smelt like a dentist when we first entered and there was some dirt and stickyness around the room. The main issue was the bathroom, the light flickered and had to be turned on twice for it to work properly and the shower head was gross. It hadn’t been cleaned and thick with dirt. We had to get the lady on reception to assist us but even then she “didn’t know what to do”, credit to her though she found us some cleaner and we cleaned the shower head ourselves using the disinfectant spray and boiled hot water. Got a decent nights sleep considering the light from inside the services and the hotel was very close to East Midlands Airport.
